Africa contributes so little to climate change, yet she is the most vulnerable to its consequences. Sinister statistics show that we don't have much time any longer, hence there is a need to take urgent action now.

Africa, with its diverse ecosystems and vulnerable communities, is on the front lines of climate change. From extreme weather events to diminishing natural resources, the impacts are profound and far-reaching. Yet, amidst these challenges, there lies an opportunity for transformation and resilience.

Sequoia Research was initiated to create solutions on climate change tailored to Africa.

Founder and Visionary

Cheta's story isn't just about founding Sequoia; it's about defying expectations and transforming a childhood vow into a mission to revolutionize African agriculture. Witnessing the limitations of traditional farming firsthand, he embarked on a journey of academic excellence, earning degrees in plant science and biotechnology, and an MBA from the prestigious Hult International School. But his learning extended beyond classrooms. He actively participated in the agro-commodity and financial markets, gaining practical experience and valuable lessons through both successes and setbacks in pilot businesses. Driven by a deep desire for social impact, Cheta envisions Sequoia as an agro-conglomerate that touches various industries, creating a ripple effect of positive change.
